My name is Monica Ross, also known as The Garden Lady. I live in Mississauga and I’ve been passionate about gardening and growing things for more than 25 years. It all started when I was in university and worked as a summer student at a local nursery.

I became fascinated by the range of garden plants available; I read everything I could find, took courses, attended seminars – I couldn’t get enough information, and absolutely had to have my own garden.

Some neighbours came by one day to ask about a plant in my front garden. It wasn’t long before I was answering questions all the time, like “Will you come and look at my yard?” and “Why is this plant dead?” or “What should I plant here?” also “How can I make my garden look as good as yours?” And one day they just started to call me The Garden Lady.

After many years experience in sales and customer service I decided to combine those skills with my horticultural knowledge.

Today I provide garden designs that are unique to your family’s requirements; I will analyze your yard’s light and soil conditions, recommend plants that are the most suitable, I will help you save money by making sure you have the right plants, and plant them in the right place. I want to help you create a beautiful, low maintenance garden that will provide a place to relax at the end of a busy day.

I provide instruction on how to maintain your new garden. I design for small spaces or large, new gardens or old.
